Fares and app details checked on 9 October 2026. Taxi tariffs in Antalya are set by the city and change from time to time.
You have landed at Antalya Airport, or you are about to, and you want to know the simple things: can you open Uber, what does a taxi to your hotel cost, and is there a better option for your group? This guide answers those questions with the current figures and tells you where each option works best, including the cases where a regular taxi is simply the right choice.
Does Uber work in Antalya? (October 2026)
Yes, but not the way it does in London or New York. In Antalya, Uber works through local licensed taxis. When you open the app, you choose Taxi, and a yellow city taxi with a licensed driver comes to pick you up. Uber's own Antalya page describes the option as a 4-seater for up to 4 passengers.
What this means in practice:
- Price: before you request, the app shows an estimated fare range, from a minimum to a maximum. You do not get a fixed price agreed in advance.
- Payment: you can pay by card in the app or choose cash and pay the driver. Pick the payment method before you request the ride. If you pay cash, pay the amount the app shows for the trip.
- From the airport: Uber says you can request an Uber Taxi at Antalya Airport (AYT). Follow the pickup directions in the app; the pickup point may not be at the exit nearest to you.
- Other Uber cars: Uber's airport page lists products such as UberX and UberXL as examples, but notes that the options shown are only a sample. Open the app on arrival to see what is actually offered.
In short: Uber in Antalya is a convenient way to call a normal taxi and pay through the app. It is not a separate, cheaper car service.
Taxis in Antalya: meters, fares, paying
Antalya taxis are yellow and run on a taximeter. The tariff is set by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Since 23 March 2026, the tariff in the five central districts (Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı and Aksu) is:
The outer districts, including Serik (Belek), Manavgat (Side), Kemer and Alanya, use a higher tariff: 60 TL to start, 70 TL per kilometre and a 250 TL minimum. In October 2026 the taxi drivers' chamber asked for a further increase, which was waiting for the city council's decision.
At the airport: taxi ranks are in front of the arrivals exit of every terminal, and there is a fare board next to the rank. Check it before you get in.
Paying: have Turkish lira with you. Card acceptance varies from car to car, so ask before you set off, and do not count on paying in euros. If you would rather pay by card, use an app that charges your card.
Taxi fares from the airport to the main resorts
The airport is in Aksu, one of the central districts, so we used the current central tariff (40 TL + 50 TL per km) as an estimate for trips starting at AYT, over the road distance. Next to it is our fixed price for the same trip. The taxi estimate does not include time in slow traffic, so the real fare is usually a little higher. The fare board at the rank is the reference on the day.

Taxi fares: our estimate from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality central tariff in force since 23 March 2026, at about 55 TL per euro (9 October 2026). Transfer prices and drive times: our current prices and estimated direct drive times; actual times depend on traffic.
See the fixed fare for your resort
The honest reading of this table: for one or two people with light luggage going to Lara, the city centre, Konyaaltı or Belek, a metered taxi costs less than a private transfer. For Kemer and Side the difference is small. For Alanya, our fixed price is lower than the meter estimate. Remember that a taxi takes up to 4 passengers; a family of five or six needs two taxis, which doubles the taxi column.
Taxi apps that work in Antalya
- Uber: calls a licensed yellow taxi, shows a fare range before you request, and lets you pay by card in the app or in cash.
- BiTaksi: a Turkish taxi app that lists Antalya among its cities. It also calls yellow city taxis.
- Other apps, such as Bolt: check availability in the app before you rely on it.
How to avoid being overcharged
- At the airport, look at the fare board next to the taxi rank before you get in.
- Make sure the meter is switched on when the trip starts.
- Ask for a rough price before you set off, especially for long trips such as Side or Alanya.
- Pay in lira where you can. If you pay any other way, agree the amount first.
- Keep a photo of the taxi's number plate; it helps if you need to make a complaint or find lost property.
- With Uber, compare what you pay with the range the app showed.
When a private transfer can be the more sensible choice
A taxi is perfectly good for many trips. A private transfer is worth considering when one or more of these applies:
- You are five or six people. One Mercedes-Benz Vito takes up to 6 passengers and 5 suitcases, at one price for the car, not per person. The same group needs two taxis.
- You have a lot of luggage, golf bags, a pushchair, or large suitcases that will not fit in a saloon car's boot.
- You are travelling with small children. Uber says car seats are not guaranteed on rides from the airport. With a transfer you can book a child seat in advance, for an extra charge.
- You land late at night, tired, and want a car already arranged rather than a queue at the rank.
- You are staying far from the airport. For Side and especially Alanya, a price agreed before you travel means no long meter running in traffic.
- You want to know the price before you fly. The fare per car is shown when you book, and we track your flight, so an early or delayed landing does not change it.
How a private transfer works
- 1Book online with your hotel, date and flight number. The price is shown before you pay.
- 2We track your flight, so the driver is there when you actually land, early or late.
- 3The driver meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you to the car. If you want, you can add a name sign as an option when booking.
- 4You are driven directly to your hotel, with no other passengers and no stops on the way.
Payment: by card when you book, or a small deposit online and the rest in cash to the driver.
Cancellation: free up to 24 hours before pickup.
